What Not To Buy At Walt Disney World 2022

When you are planning your trip to Walt Disney World, it is important to buy some stuff before you leave. Everyone Knows Walt Disney World can be very expensive.

I believe in saving money, but having a memorable trip too and enjoying Mickey Ears is important too! Just don’t buy them at WDW.

I have come up with a few items that you defiantly can buy before you leave to save some money. Otherwise, you are going to pay double or even triple the price of buying the item at your local store.

Don’t Buy Mickey Ears at Walt Disney World

Everyone needs a pair of Mickey Ears when they go on vacation at WDW. I recommend finding a pair before you go on your trip. Sooooo many people make them and you can get them on Etsy, Facebook Marketplace, IG, eBay, etc.

Buy your Mickey Ears before heading on vacation.
Mickey Ears

You can spend anywhere from $8.99 for a super cute pair or you can wait and go to the park and pay between $21.99 and up. When you have a family of 5 that you are purchasing for that can add up quick.

Bring Bottled Water or Reusable Containers

Water is VERY EXPENSIVE at Disney. You will spend anywhere between $3-$5 for a bottle of Dasani Water.

Stop over to Costco or Sams club (if your driving to Disney) and grab a case to bring with you. If you are not driving and you are flying, then pack a reusable water container to fill up during your stay.

It gets hot in Florida and it is important to stay hydrated, so water is essential. Just don’t spend hundreds on your trip buying some at the park.

Or you can go up to the quick service counters and ask for a cup of ice water. They shouldn’t charge you.

Bring Your Own Stroller/Strollers

Whether you are driving or flying, pack your stroller. You walk around 10 miles a day and that is a lot for your kids, but you don’t want to pay everyday your there for a stroller to rent.

These are the prices at Disney world to rent:

Single Stroller

Recommended for children 50 lbs. or less.

  • Daily: $15
  • Multi-Day (Length of Stay): $13
Double Stroller

Recommended for children 100 lbs. or less.

  • Daily: $31
  • Multi-Day (Length of Stay): $27

Those prices can add up quick, especially if you already spent money on a stroller you bought and have at home.

Buy A Poncho

It does rain in Florida and depending on what time of year you go you will defiently want a poncho packed. Make sure to stop at your local dollar tree or dollar general and pick one of for a $1.00

At Disney World they can cost around $8.00 – $9.00 a piece. If you are a family of five that is $40.00 – $45.00.

In my opinion, just write down a list of things you want to purchase while on vacation. Find out what you can get for a cheaper price at home at your local stores.

Enjoy Vacation, But Don’t Break The Bank

If your goal is to have fun while on vacation, but not break the bank. Than make sure to pack some things before you go. Can’t do everything and spend money on everything.

I am defiantly not going to buy things at Disney World that I can buy for way cheaper at home.
