What Is The Mega Event?
Kroger’s mega event is an event that lasts two weeks. There are different kinds of mega events that are ran. In particular, this sale is the buy 5 save $5. That means you need to purchase in multiples of 5. When you buy 5, 10, 15, etc., items you will see at checkout when you hit total that $5, $10, $15, etc., will come off your total. You have to purchase items with the sale tag. I have posted the tag above for reference.
Mega Event Sale Items
There are many items to choose from through out the store. The items I purchased and got a great deal on will be listed below. These are some of the items I knew I had coupons for. I had used digital coupons (from Kroger’s loyalty program) and then also paper coupons I received in the weekly mailer. I will break my deal down for you and how I was able to purchase all these items for practically free.
A Great Deal on Palmolive Dish Soap
Palmolive dish soap is $1.99 when you buy participating items at Kroger’s mega event sale. I purchased two because I had a $1.00 off 1 digital coupon and I also had $1.00 off 1 paper coupon that I received in my weekly mailer. That made each bottle only $0.99, but what is even better is when you purchased two bottles you would receive a $2.00 Catalina coupon at checkout. (reference what is a Catalina coupon)
Do You Use BIC Soleil Razors?
The BIC Soleil razors are on mega sale for $2.79 and there is a digital coupon and also a paper coupon for $3.00 off 1. That means that not only are they FREE, but you will also make $0.21 on each one. You can’t go wrong with a money maker!
Such A Great Deal on Colgate Optic White Toothpaste
You can always get FREE toothpaste on mega sale! There is a $2.00 digital coupon that makes these absolutely free. You do not have to get just the optic white kind. There are a few other Colgate toothpastes that are $1.99 or you may want one that is on sale for $2.99 and only have to pay $0.99 with the digital coupon.
Dove Men +Care Shampoo/Conditioner Deal
This deal can get a little confusing. What makes this deal amazing is that you can get two of the Dove’s men +care for free. There is a $4.00 off 2 coupon that came in last weekend’s paper, which makes it $2.98 for both at checkout. After, checkout you can scan your receipt with Ibotta and get $1.50 back for each one ($3.00 – $2.98 = free + $0.02 mm).
Make Sure To Get Your $0.49 Deodorant
There is a $0.50 off 1 coupon for both the women and men deoderant in the 5/5/10 smartsource insert. That makes each one only $0.49

My total before mega sale, coupons, ibotta rebate, and catalina coupon was $33.71 (with tax, you’re tax may vary).
My total after coupons and mega sale was $3.23 (tax included, yours may vary). I also will redeem my $3.00 ibotta rebate and I will receive the $2.00 Catalina coupon after checkout. So that makes all of these items FREE for me. I also had a $4.00 Catalina coupon I used from another sale that I placed on this checkout. The total would have been $7.23 for everything and then your total after all the rebates, coupons, and sale would be $2.23, which is still great!
