Kroger Mega Event: Buy 5, Save $5

Kroger Mega Event: Buy 5, Save $5
Kroger Mega Event: Buy 5, Save $5

What Is The Mega Event?

This week’s mega event at Kroger is buy 5, save $5. What this means is you are to buy in multiples of five participating items and you will receive multiples of $5 off at checkout. For example, you buy five pampers wipes and five Suave shampoos. You will get $10 off total when you check out. That is $1 off each of the ten items you purchase. Do not make the mistake of only purchasing nine items because than you will only get $5 off at checkout and pay normal price for the other four items. You have to buy in multiples of five for this sale.

**Participating sale items tags will look like this picture I have posted below.**

How Do I Shop A Kroger Mega Event?

Shopping a Kroger Mega Event can be a little confusing if it is your first time. When I would see the sign when I walked into Kroger, I used to just walk right past it and not think twice. Now, I am all about saving money and shopping every mega event. (Even if you do not want to use coupons or deals with coupons, just shopping the mega event prices will save you tons of money).

Do not be intimidated by the event. Start of by making your list. Write down every item that you want to purchase that is apart of the mega event. These items have special tags attached to them. (Reference picture of what the tag will look like is posted above). Not every item in the store is apart of this deal. What I do to make my list is to pull up Kroger’s ad either online or the one that you get in the mail and just skim through it to see what is on sale. Then I go through my coupons and see what coupons I have for those items to save even more money.

Once You Make Your List, Then Go Shopping!

You of course want to take in consideration for the following:

  • Pricing for mega sale items are different for different regions.
  • Coupon values are different in price for different regions.
  • Kroger has the same items on sale for their mega sale price, but sometimes a store manager may not put that item on sale.
  • Not everyone gets the same type of coupon. It varies in region.
  • Sales tax is different for all regions/states.

Ask any questions you may have! I am here to help clarify things.
